“Marriage in a Changing World: A Sacred Covenant Under Pressure
Marriage is one of the most beautiful and sacred institutions that God established. From the very beginning in Genesis, God designed marriage not only as a union between a man and a woman but as a divine covenant reflecting the relationship between Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:25–33).
It was meant to be a safe haven for love, companionship, growth, and spiritual connection. Yet, in today’s rapidly changing world, marriages are under increasing pressure and attack from cultural, emotional, spiritual, and societal forces.
Despite these challenges, God’s design for marriage remains timeless and powerful. He never intended for couples to navigate marriage on their own. His Word provides the wisdom, grace, and strength needed to weather every storm. When husbands and wives invite God into the center of their relationship, they find a deeper purpose, peace, and resilience that the world cannot offer.
Marriage isn’t just about love and romance, it’s about dying to self, choosing forgiveness daily, and being a reflection of God’s unconditional love. This requires prayer, intentionality, and grace. Even the strongest marriages need regular spiritual maintenance.

· Pray that every plan of the enemy against marriages will be destroyed. Isaiah 54:17
· Pray that the Lord will give Married couples wisdom and guidance in every area of their lives. James 1:5
· Pray that their emotional and physical intimacy will be renewed and strengthened by God. Proverbs 5:18
Pray that forgiveness and healing will flow freely in their marriages. Ephesians 4:32
